Specialist in onion processing
Holaras specialises in developing and manufacturing onion processing machines. Onion windrowers and haulm toppers are available in various versions, with different working widths. Whether you use a tractor with wide wheels or row-crop narrow wheels, there’s always a Holaras machine suitable for your needs. Our range also includes the Holaras onion topper, specially designed to accurately trim onions and flower bulbs.
Haulm is mowed precisely with the Holaras haulm topper. The haulm is removed from the bed to the side using our specially developed cutting deck.

The haulm toppers are equipped with automatic depth control as standard. This height is adjusted by an electrically/hydraulically controlled height system combined with probes and sensors. Each topper is supplied as standard with two wheels and a Walterscheid PTO.
Holaras harvesting at the front
With the Holaras front windrower, onions can be harvested with machinery with wide tyres. The UMR 300-FC harvests over the entire three-metre length and transports the onions in front of the wheels to the centre by means of transverse conveyor belts. The mower-harvester combination in combination with the UR 170 or UR 205 rear harvester is the perfect combination for harvesting three-metre beds.
The front harvester comes as standard with Walterscheid PTO and twisted harvester shaft. The UMR 300-FC is supplied as standard with a sieve web, which has recessed slats with an interval of 42/12 mm.
Holaras onion windrowers: stable and robust
The onion windrower picks up onions from the soil with a square-bar digging shaft. Alongside this digging shaft, there are coulter disc blades and a V-shaped plough on each side. Both the coulter disc blades and the plough prevent losses when picking up the onions.
Including Walterscheid PTO, square-bar digging shaft, spiral intake roller and pressure roller. The harvester is supplied as standard with a 3/4” O-ring chain and double bearings for driving the digging shaft.
Accurate tailing of onions and flower bulbs
The onion topper is specially designed for trimming onions and bulbs. The high speed and the special shape of the blades create a strong airflow. This airflow sucks the onion tails between the bars of the vibrating screen, after which they are cut off by the sharp blades just under the screen.
All versions are available with closed air circulation and discharge belt. The trimmers are equipped with internal lighting and are supplied as standard with an automatic switch box. The standard passage size of a screen is 28 mm.
